An LED bulb only draws a fraction of the power, so a 10W to 15W LED can safely output the equivalent brightness of a 75W to 100W traditional bulb. This gives you plenty of bright light that is beautifully softened by the Off White Linen shade, all while staying safely under the fixture's thermal limit.

The Josephine lamp's internal wiring is fully capable of dimming, but out of the box, it operates using a standard on/off switch. To take advantage of the dimming capability, you simply need to install a dimmable E26 Medium Base bulb (we highly recommend an LED) and plug the lamp's generous 96-inch cord into a compatible plug-in dimmer module or a dimmable smart plug. No, we strongly advise against it. The Josephine is strictly UL Dry Rated for indoor, climate-controlled use only. Exposing the natural Woven Wicker base and the Off White Linen shade to outdoor humidity, fluctuating temperatures, or morning dew can cause the organic materials to warp, mildew, or rapidly degrade. To keep the lamp looking pristine indoors, avoid liquid cleaners and simply use a dry microfiber cloth or a vacuum with a soft brush attachment to lift away dust.
