Frequently Asked Questions

Will this lantern turn on by itself when the sun goes down?

Yes, its automatic dusk-to-dawn sensor switches the lantern on as evening arrives, so there is no need to manage it each night. The solar-rechargeable battery powers a warm, flickering candle effect for outdoor use. We recommend placing it where the solar panel can receive daylight; see it styled in an outdoor setting.

Is the lantern large enough to read clearly beside an outdoor seating area?

Yes, its 18-inch height gives it a noticeable presence beside outdoor seating, while the 7-inch width keeps its footprint relatively compact. The warm-white flicker offers a softer accent rather than task lighting. We recommend using it to mark a seating area or entry; compare the dimensions with your available surface before placing it.

Can I leave this lantern outside if rain is expected?

Yes, it is rated IP44 and described as waterproof for outdoor use, making it suitable for exposure to splashing water. That rating is not a reason to submerge it or assume protection from every weather condition. We recommend positioning it thoughtfully in your outdoor setting; verify the IP44 rating against your specific exposure before installation.
