Pre-Order & Cancellation Policy
Many of our best-selling items sell out quickly. Rather than remove them from the site, we offer them for pre-order so you can reserve yours from the next production run or incoming shipment. This policy explains how pre-orders work, what to expect, and your options at every stage.
What a pre-order is
A pre-order reserves an item that is not currently in stock. Your order is placed in line for the next available inventory and ships on or around the estimated ship date shown at the time you order.
Estimated ship dates
Every pre-order item displays an estimated ship date in two places before you buy:
• On the product page, next to the pre-order button
• At checkout, on the item line
The estimated ship date reflects the date our supplier or manufacturer has committed to for that item. We publish the committed date rather than an optimistic estimate, and we monitor those commitments closely.
The date shown is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. Once the item ships, standard transit time applies and you will receive tracking by email.
Why the date on the page may be later than your date
If you return to a product page after ordering and see a later estimated ship date than the one you received, your order has not been delayed.
Pre-order units are allocated in the order they are reserved. Once the units from an incoming shipment are fully spoken for, the product page updates to show the date of the next shipment after that. So the date on the page always reflects what a new customer would receive today, not what you reserved.
Your ship date is the one shown to you when you placed your order. It does not change unless we contact you directly to tell you it has, and if that ever happens, you can cancel for a full refund.
Payment
Pre-order items are charged in full at the time you place your order. This reserves your unit from the incoming shipment. You will see the charge on your statement at the time of purchase, not at the time of shipment.
If your ship date changes
Occasionally, a supplier revises a ship date after you have ordered. If that happens:
• We notify you by email as soon as the date changes
• The notification includes the new estimated ship date
• You can cancel for a full refund if the new timeframe does not work, by replying directly to that email
You are never required to accept a revised date. If the new timing does not work for you, cancel and we will refund you in full.
Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel a pre-order at any time before it is assigned a tracking number, for any reason, for a full refund to your original payment method. No restocking fee, no cancellation fee, no explanation needed.
To cancel, reply directly to any ship date notification email, or contact our support team by email, phone, or text.
Once an item has been assigned a tracking number, it is on its way to you, and our standard return policy applies from that point.
Special orders are not pre-orders. A special order is a custom or made-to-order item, such as a custom color or finish, arranged with our sales team and identified as a special order at the time it is placed. Because these are produced specifically for you, special orders carry different terms, including a cancellation fee, and those terms are set out in our returns policy. Anything you purchase directly on this site is a pre-order, not a special order, and no cancellation fee ever applies to a pre-order.
Orders with more than one item
If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we ship each item as it becomes available so you receive what is ready without waiting. You will receive separate tracking for each shipment at no additional shipping cost.
If you would prefer to receive everything together in one shipment, contact us after placing your order and we will hold it.
If an item becomes unavailable
If a supplier discontinues an item or cannot fulfill it, we will contact you directly. We will offer you the choice of a comparable alternative, an open box unit where available, or a full refund. The decision is yours.
