Will this sconce fit in a narrow hallway or behind a door without being a bump hazard?

With an extension of 5.15 inches, this sconce is relatively low-profile but does not meet strict ADA requirements (which typically require a 4-inch or less projection). We recommend placing it in areas where it won’t be directly in a high-traffic walking path, such as flanking a bathroom mirror or placed higher on a wall in a transition space.

Does the reeded milk glass shade reduce the brightness of the two bulbs significantly?

The reeded milk glass is designed to diffuse light and hide the bulbs while the vertical texture helps spread the light along the length of the 12.15-inch fixture. While it softens the output to prevent glare, it still provides ample ambient light. We recommend using two 40W-equivalent LED candelabra bulbs for a bright yet comfortable glow.

How much vertical space is needed between two of these sconces when flanking a mirror?

Since the fixture is 12.15 inches tall and only 4 inches wide, it is ideal for narrow vertical spaces. We recommend allowing at least 4 to 6 inches of clearance between the sconce and the edge of your mirror to ensure the light is evenly distributed across the face and the brushed brass finish is well-defined against the wall.
