Frequently Asked Questions

Will this 40-inch fixture leave enough clearance in a room with a standard ceiling?

Yes, its 14.5-inch height keeps the profile relatively close to the ceiling for a fixture of this width. We recommend checking the full 40-inch span against nearby walls and furnishings, especially in a hallway or entry. The semi-flush design suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low. Measure clearance before ordering.

Can I use a dimmer to adjust the light for dinner or everyday use?

Yes, the fixture is dimmable, so you can tailor the light from practical everyday illumination to a softer dining-room setting. Its 18 E12 candelabra sockets accept B11 bulbs, which are not included; choose dimmable bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer. We recommend confirming bulb compatibility before installation. Compare bulb options for your room.

Is the art glass suitable for a room where humidity can be present?

Yes, it is UL damp rated, making it suitable for indoor spaces with some humidity, such as a dining room or entry near an exterior door. That rating does not establish suitability for direct water exposure, and the product is specified for indoor use. We recommend keeping it away from direct spray. Verify the rating for your placement.
