Frequently Asked Questions

Could this sconce work beside a bathroom vanity where it may encounter humidity?

Yes, its UL damp rating makes it suitable for a bathroom where moisture is occasional, such as beside a vanity, though it is not rated for direct water exposure. The fabric shade brings a softer note to the wall. We recommend keeping it outside the shower area; confirm placement against local requirements.

Can I soften the light from this sconce with a wall dimmer for evenings?

Yes, the sconce is dimmable, so you can lower the light for a quieter bedroom or hallway setting. The dimmer is not included, and the fixture uses one E12 candelabra-base bulb rated up to 60 watts. We recommend choosing a compatible dimmer and bulb together; verify compatibility before installation.

Does this sconce use a replaceable bulb, or is the light source built in?

It uses a replaceable E12 candelabra-base bulb rather than an integrated light source, giving you flexibility when selecting a bulb. One bulb is required and is not included; the socket is rated for up to 60 watts. We recommend checking the bulb’s shape against the fabric shade; consult the full specifications before choosing.
