Frequently Asked Questions

How much room do I have to adjust the Stratford pendant above my dining table?

The hanging range runs from 37.28 to 79.28 inches, giving you flexibility for different ceiling heights and table settings. We recommend positioning the shades so they feel comfortably connected to the table without obstructing conversation across it. Confirm the finished drop before installation; compare all sizes in the collection for your space.

Can I use this pendant with a dimmer for softer light at dinner?

Yes, the pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer, which lets you shift from practical meal preparation to a softer evening setting. It takes two E26 medium-base A bulbs, each up to 60 watts; bulbs and the dimmer are not included. We recommend choosing dimmable bulbs, then checking the dimmer’s compatibility. See it styled in a dining room.

Can this pendant be installed on a sloped ceiling, and what support does it need?

Yes, a sloped ceiling is supported, and the fixture is hard-wired for indoor installation. At 22 pounds, it should be secured to an appropriately rated ceiling support; the provided specifications do not identify a specific support type. We recommend confirming the junction box can carry the fixture’s weight before installation. Verify ceiling support before ordering.
