Description

The Stratford Wall Sconce pairs a compact, tailored silhouette with the soft glow of matte opal glass. A rounded glass shade is supported by a simple Aged Iron frame, creating a clean, versatile look that feels equally at home in traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors. Its modest scale makes it an easy choice for bedrooms, hallways, dining spaces, or flanking artwork and mirrors, where it adds a warm decorative layer of light without overwhelming the room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this sconce project too far into a narrow hallway?

Its 6.25-inch extension is relatively compact, though placement still matters in a tight passage. We recommend positioning it where it won’t interfere with doors or regular foot traffic, especially near a turn. The aged iron finish and opal glass suit an entry or hallway wall. Measure the available clearance before installation.

Can I use a wall dimmer to make the light softer in the evening?

Yes, this sconce is dimmable, with the dimmer purchased separately. We recommend pairing it with a compatible dimmer and an appropriate E12 candelabra-base bulb, so you can adjust the light for quieter evening hours. The fixture accepts one bulb up to 40 watts. Confirm bulb and dimmer compatibility before installation.

Does this sconce use a standard candelabra bulb, or does it need an unusual socket?

It uses an E12 candelabra-base socket, rather than a standard medium-base socket. We recommend choosing a B bulb, the shape specified for this fixture, and checking that the bulb is rated for the 40-watt maximum. Bulbs are not included, so plan to select one separately. Confirm the socket and bulb details before ordering.
