Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Stroud lamp fit comfortably on a narrow bedside table?

Yes, allow about 17 inches of tabletop width for the shade, since it extends beyond the 8-inch-diameter base. We recommend checking the available surface before placing it beside a bed, especially if you keep books or other essentials nearby. Compare all sizes in the collection for your space.

Can I soften the light from the Stroud lamp for evenings?

Yes, the lamp is dimmable, so you can adjust its light for reading or a quieter evening setting. It uses one E26 medium-base A19 bulb, which is not included; choose a dimmable bulb compatible with your preferred control. We recommend confirming bulb compatibility before pairing it with a dimmer. See it styled in a real room.

Does the Stroud use a standard bulb, or will I need a specialty lamp bulb?

A standard screw-in bulb works: the socket takes one E26 medium-base A19 bulb, with a maximum of 60 watts. The bulb is sold separately, so select an A19 shape within that limit. We recommend choosing a warm-toned bulb for a relaxed glow through the white linen drum shade. Find the full spec sheet for details.
