Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Stroud fit comfortably on a narrow bedside table?

Yes, allow about 17 inches of tabletop width and depth for the shade, with a little extra room for nearby essentials. Its 8-inch-diameter base occupies less space than the full shade, but the overall footprint is the better guide. We recommend measuring your surface before choosing a spot. Compare all sizes in the collection for your space.

Can I use a dimmer to soften the light beside my reading chair?

Yes, the lamp is dimmable, so you can adjust its light for reading or a quieter evening setting. It uses one E26 medium-base bulb, with a maximum of 60 watts; choose a dimmable bulb to suit your preferred level of control. We recommend confirming bulb compatibility with your dimmer. See it styled in a real room.

Does the Stroud use a standard bulb, or will I need a specialty lamp bulb?

A standard A19 bulb is recommended, fitting the lamp’s E26 medium-base socket, so no specialty bulb is required. The bulb is not included, and the socket accepts up to 60 watts. We recommend selecting an A19 bulb that suits your desired light and dimming setup. Find the full spec sheet for details.
